REACH

REACH  is a new EU Regulation which requires of EU manufacturers and importers to register substances. Fred Holmberg & Co AB has followed the development of the new legislation and took early action to understand how our business, as a distributor and importer, would be impacted and the actions we would need to take to be compliant with REACH. To support the companies, the European Commission has staggered the Registration process over time. However, in order to take advantage of this relaxed Registration timeline, manufacturers and importers of chemicals above 1 tonne per year were obliged to “pre-register” the substance to the European Chemicals Agency,before the 1st of December 2008. The process of pre-registration is now completed and all substances in all of the products supplied to Fred Holmberg & Co AB are pre-registered, either by us or our suppliers.

The implementation of REACH is going on in several areas, e.g. the upgrading of our material safety data sheets to meet the REACH regulation.

Further, the process of Registration has now begun which will guarantee that all substances in all of the products supplied to Fred Holmberg & Co AB are registered, either by us or our suppliers.

Finally, Fred Holmberg & Co AB are continuously monitoring  the latest developments regarding chemical legislation, and fulfills the REACH directives, in order to be a reliable and responsible partner – today and in the future.
